About Us
Ocean Week Halifax is an annual celebration of ocean education, engagement, and community connection, held from May 30 - June 8, concluding with World Ocean Day (June 8th). As a regional hub of Ocean Week Canada, led by the Center for Ocean Literacy Collaboration Collaboration (COLC).
Ocean Week Halifax brings together organizations from across
the region to host a diverse lineup of free and accessible, ocean-focused events.
As the birthplace of World Ocean Day, Halifax is uniquely positioned to lead nationally and internationally on ocean
literacy and engagement.
Celebrate our Ocean Playground: linking land, sea and people for a healthy ocean.
